  • AA:  The Stepping Stones AA group meets each Wednesday from 7 – 8:15 pm.  This is an open meeting, anyone can attend.
  • Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) Caregivers Support Group: This group is led by a Certified volunteer facilitator and meets on the Second Sunday of each month from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The facilitator is certified by the Alzheimer’s Association, the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration and the Dementia Alliance of Raleigh, NC. 
  • Yoga Class: Yoga class meets in the Gathering Area every Monday at 11:00 a.m. All ages and abilities are welcome! Cost: $5/class. (On hold due to the Covid-19 Pandemic)
  • Hope for Haiti Concert: In January, Wesley UMC hosts the Hearts with Haiti Concert to support Wings of Hope.  Wings of Hope is a group home in Haiti that provides a safe, loving, and hopeful family environment for children and young adults with physical and mental challenges, who would otherwise be shunned from Haitian society.  Admission is free; donations for Wings of Hope gratefully accepted.  Learn more about Wings of Hope here:  http://heartswithhaiti.org/  
  • Fat Tuesday Pancake Dinner: Enjoy a Pancake Dinner with us a Wesley UMC on Fat Tuesday. Fat Tuesday is the last day before the season of Lent begins.  Lent is the 7 week period leading up to Easter.  This event is free.  
  • Olde Providence Elementary Connection:  Throughout the school year the people of Wesley support the students, faculty and staff of OPE.  From the back-to-school breakfast we host for faculty and staff each year, through collecting needed supplies for classrooms, to providing tutoring, lunch buddies and a therapy dog, we love to support our local elementary school.  
  • Bluegrass Concert: In September, Wesley UMC hosts an annual Bluegrass Concert featuring the local band, Two Trailers Down. Bring your blanket or lawn chair and get ready for some good music, food and fun! This event is free
  • Community Thanksgiving:  Each year on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, Wesley collaborates with 5 other churches to offer a Thanksgiving service.  The service rotates among the churches:  Wesley UMC, Good Shepherd Presbyterian, Cross & Crown Lutheran, Matthews-Murkland Presbyterian and Peace Moravian.
  • Hope in the Holidays: Wesley UMC hosts the Hope in the Holidays Service in December. The service is for anyone who has experienced a loss and area struggling during the Holiday Season. The service is a joint effort  Wesley UMC and SouthPark UMC.
  • Carols, Cocoa, Cookies, Claus: Join us at Wesley for Christmas carols, refreshments, and a visit with Santa Claus. All are welcome, bring your friends and family!  This event is free.
