Community Interest Speaker Series
Wesley UMC will host a speaker series over the next few months with a variety of Professional speakers who will explore topics relevant to many in our community.  There is no charge for attending and all are welcome!
Registration is required. Childcare is available at no charge, but registration must be completed one week prior to event. 
“The Age of Anxiety & Depression in Children” Thurs, September 12th at 7:00 p.m. Speaker: Candice Michael, MA. Candice Michael has her Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. Candice has experience with families through graduate work as a marriage and family therapist intern at the Ronald McDonald House and The Pfeiffer Institute. Candice also has experience as a teacher in a school setting with children of various ages and parents of pre-schoolers.
Candice is familiar from a personal and professional perspective of the dynamic anxiety and depression can play within a family dynamic. Candice thinks it is helpful for family members to be attuned to the warning signs and be prepared with the right tools to help navigate this new age of anxiety.
