As members of The United Methodist Church debate the church’s stance on human sexuality, some congregations are considering whether they wish to leave the denomination. During this challenging time, misinformation about the church’s official positions, how a church can exit, and what the future holds is causing added stress for many. Ask The UMC has created this series of FAQs designed to help dispel false information and provide accurate answers to the questions we are receiving.

Also at Wesley UMC…

Located in our Prayer Garden, you will find a “Telephone of the Wind.” The first “Telephone of the Wind” was erected in Japan in 2010. The purpose was to allow people to have a one-way conversation with deceased loved ones. Today there are “Telephones of the Wind” located all over the world.

We also welcome our neighborhood families and kids to our playground which is located on the right side of the church. The playground is specifically designed for toddlers since the school playground across the street is for older children. We invite you to come play and enjoy the playground at Wesley!

SHARING THE LOVE OF CHRIST

We are a family, and we care for one another. But it doesn’t stop there! We believe that we share Christ’s love when we care for and serve as many people as we can. We strive to be good neighbors locally and globally.

SEEKING THE HEART OF GOD

Through worship, prayer and study, our goal is to love what God loves, and do what God does, to become more like Jesus.

LIVING THE LIFE OF FAITH

Once we know God’s heart, we seek ways to live our lives differently, so that we can reflect God to others. We are challenged to apply God’s Word in scripture to our everyday lives.
